Designed by architect Nelson Max Dunning and completed in 1912, the former textbook warehouse is a reminder of the city’s history as a publishing center, according to a DPD report.
The five-story brick and limestone structure “is a handsome and distinguished example of an early 20th century modern industrial building, a building type important to Chicago history and the development of modern architecture,” the report says. Read Story
